Kjeller airfield is the oldest continuously operating airfield in Norway and one of the oldest in the world. It was established in September 1912 to serve the Norwegian Air Force. Nowadays the location used jointly by Air force and light aircraft club.

Usually its gates are tightly closed, but once a year one granted to visit Kjeller Flydagen – Kjeller Airshow http://www.flydagen.no/ Its probably the best opportunity to see flying veterans, listen to nostalgic motor sound, photograph and photograph.
DC-3 Douglas is unique among prewar aircraft. There are still small operators with DC-3s in service. The common saying among aviation buffs and pilots is that “the only replacement for a DC-3 is another DC-3”. During Flydagen you can reserve a sightseeing flight by the famous aircraft.
